Yeah I haven’t posted in forever… Anyways here we go again
Went to Topeka last weekend to see Tammy. Got to watch the “bods”(Washburn) go against the “Ore Diggers”(Colorado School of Mines) In the end Colorado won. Both teams had a poor show of defense. In the end Colorado finally stopped washburn to hold their lead. So apart from my now pealing sunburn the only other part of the game was the band which I thought was fairly impressive (Tammy included of course). Then we went to Lawrence to see the Awesomely wicked great movie Napoleon Dynamite. (after only a few problems finding the way around the tollway) Hard to say what the story line was… but it was hilarious. Next got woken up by a fire alarm… (ok so I should have been out of bed already…) Then got ready to go eat lunch and the fire alarm went off again… anywho… Finally went out to eat a Bennigans. I STRONGLY suggest The Monte Cristo sandwich. hmmmmm… now im hungry… Well enough for now. Hopefully I will keep posting regularly (so Carson will stay off my back lol)

A trip back west
Unfortunately, all the pictures Dylan posted here are no longer on the server.
Well I went home last weekend and took my little digital camera and took some low quality pics. Here is the tale of my adventure.
Starting towards home I see but what else in our ag based Kansas Economy. MOO
I liked the K-State in the mirror too 🙂
I have always wanted to stop here and see what they have… I guess they even have an ice cream bar
Then what could a road trip be without road construction??
At last I stop in Hays for a late lunch. Chicken was ok but nothing to brag about
Now corn at 75 mph…
almost too exciting
And if you look long enough this old machine kinda looks like a big animal of some sort… or maybe im just crazy.. probably both 🙂
And now you can definately tell im in western KS… you can see probably 60 miles here… maybe further??
I had almost forgotten how many of this long coal trains went by my hometown. Used to count them when I was little (I think my parents always asked me how many there were…. probably just to keep me occupied)
One of the things I think westen KS beats Eastern by far…. Sunsets
unfortunately this one didnt turn out too well
And for the “high point” of my trip… the turn off for Mt. Sunflower
And Give me a home where the buffalo roam. People that own these are related to me somehow… don’t really know how
When have you ever seen a cool firetruck like this in a city??
Oh and this is the fair parade
And a pic of my Mom. 🙂
This guy had to be about passing out!!
Has to be pretty close to my dream car…..
I thought the cougar stuffed animal was a nice touch
This is a sweet car too… One I would like to own but not drive
Couldnt be a country trip without some far equiptment… old and new
And now the local transportation.
For many
or for one
Well here comes the Possee to run me out of town so thats all for now
Sorry about the long delay in posting… hopefully more lata

MIA….
Ok so I have been MIA for a while now… Apologies to all my fans 🙂 Life has been full of twists and turns for me. My last post was from Colorado. Part of a trip of driving around Kansas and Colorado to see all my family. “Home is where the heart is” has a whole new meaning when your parents live 3 hours apart… Anyways I got to see my 2 nephews and my neice (they are the cutest kids on the planet….. no matter what you may think 😉 ) After that I came back to good ol manhatten to work for 4 1/2 days with only time to eat and get a little sleep. However I did manage to start getting to know an old friend a lot better as we started to talk every night at about 1 am… So sleep has been short but overall life has been great!
In other news…. I love Lamp.
Do you know that you are a geek if you talk to your co-workers on MSN when theya re sitting next to you?? (sara and crystal!) Well g2g luv ya all.

The crack is full of me
Summer is just starting again and I am forced to think of all those that will be leaving us to take a new path in their life… but you all have been through that so no need to expand….
Instead I want to think about the people that have slipped through the cracks. The people who have had some minor influence on our life that we soon forget. Like the guy in our first class of college who turned and said “hi” and let you realize that the world isn’t as big and scary as you thought (or hoped). For me this was someone who I later discovered was friends with some guys right down the hall and in turn friends with a girl that became a best friend and then more for a while.
This is a greatful bow to all those people who have been forgotten. Many of them do not even realize that they had any effect at all. Another guy comes to mind from last year. Moved in at semester and helped me take that first step towards another great saga and friendship in my life. Only now to have him move to another city and hardly hear from him again, but if it werent for him I may have never become so close to a friend.
Or even the random person you stop to talk to on campus. I remember during one of my late night walks running across two people that literally stopped to smell the flowers… Probably talked with them for about an hour. Helping me to discover the wonderful things we have all around us if only we would stop to take the time to look. Never have seen them again. Another soul lost in the cracks of my memories.
So what can you learn from this… Who knows… I know that I have discovered that people can change your life if you only give them a chance. I know that one of my best friends I have met in Manhattan gave me a terrible first impression, but because I gave him a chance he helped form me into the person I am proud to be today. Yes you may end up being one of the people who slips through the cracks to never be remembered again… but it is a natural process as God brings in people for a purpose and then sends them on. I challenge you to open up and dont be afraid of the cracks… because sooner or later you are gonna find that there are some cracks you dont fit in…. And those are the friendships that make it all worth while.
… poems are my own work…
Addition to my profile..
Yeah, this doesn’t exist anymore.
My profile now allows comments! check it out and leave me some feedback! Sorry about the lack of posts… I am busy just like C… But after this weekend I hope to have a little more time 🙂 lata all
So anyways…
Time one one of my “meaningful” posts I guess… Seems that a lot of my friends have issues with each other but rather then confronting that person and risking a fight they just talk behind their back… I have always believed that if you have an issue with a person, make it a point to talk to them about it if you can. You may not ever agree but at least you can come to some common ground. Anyways, I’m not saying I’m any good at resolving issues but if I have a problem I almost always talk to the person about it. If nothing else there is an understanding about disagreeing. Anyways on a brighter note Weekend was a lot of fun! I got to hang out with an old friend and go Dancing… havent done that in a few months. (thanks for letting us come along F) and finally im gonna post some randomness that I created a few years back.
peace out
